What is Kambo?

Kambo is the secretion of the Phyllomedusa bicolor tree frog, native to the Amazon rainforest. This powerful medicine has been used for generations by Indigenous tribes for its potent cleansing and healing properties.

Kambo contains a unique cocktail of bioactive peptides—short chains of amino acids—that interact directly with the human body. Some of the most studied peptides include:

  • Phyllocaerulein – helps reduce pain and lower blood pressure

  • Dermorphin and deltorphin – natural opioid-like peptides with pain-relieving properties

  • Adenoregulin – supports cellular communication and immune response

  • Sauvagine – impacts the adrenal cortex, helping the body manage stress

These peptides stimulate the body at a cellular level, supporting detoxification, immune function, and physiological balance. While science is still uncovering the full potential of Kambo, its effects are undeniable: many report profound shifts physically, emotionally, and spiritually.

  • A Kambo ceremony is an intimate and intentional experience. Whether you're coming with a clear intention or simply feeling called to cleanse and reconnect, we begin by honoring where you are.

    Before we begin, we take time to talk about your intention. If one hasn’t emerged yet, we’ll find it together. You’ll never be rushed—we move at a pace that feels safe and grounded.

    You’ll then have the option to work with Sananga or Hapé, two sacred medicines that can support clarity, grounding, and connection before receiving Kambo.

    The Kambo application involves making small points on the skin and applying the medicine directly. The effects begin quickly, and the medicine remains on for about 20 minutes. During this time, you may experience purging (vomiting, sweating, crying, shaking, etc.)—this is a release of toxins, stuck energy, and emotional weight.

    After the medicine is removed, you’ll be given space to rest and recover in quiet stillness. When you’re ready, I’ll serve a light snack, and we’ll take time to debrief and integrate your experience together.

    Kambo is not just a physical detox—it’s a ceremony of remembering your strength, reconnecting with your body, and aligning with your truth.

    Kambo works deeply when received in a series. This offering includes 3 sessions, to support deeper detoxification, emotional release, and energetic alignment.

    For partners, close friends, or loved ones who wish to share the experience in a gentle, connected way. Each person receives the medicine individually while being held in a shared ceremonial space.
